Salvador’s, up in the quaint and friendly village of Kaapsehoop, just 30 minutes outside of Nelspruit, is popular among locals and visitors alike for its laid back vibe, its scrumptious menu, and its fire place. After a morning of hiking along the escarpment or picnicking, the best way to put some warmth back into your bones is to order a glass of whisky or a cup of coffee, and to find a place next to the fire. The Smoke House moved up to our town from Durban, and has become a hit. The restaurant is the perfect place to wind down and although it has a setup that is more suitable for summer, it can be rather warm in winter when the sun shines in.
